VAT Refund for Non-EU Residents
If you are a not a resident of the European Union and have been charged Value Added Tax (VAT) on your Mammoth Bikes order, you are entitled to a VAT refund. In order to do so, you should contact Mammoth Customer Service once your order has been placed and before you leave the EU. In order to claim your VAT refund, you will need to email Mammoth Bikes a copy of your passport in which the following information is clearly visible:
- Passport Number
- Country of Issue
- Full Name
- Country of Residence (if different from passport)
Once we have received this information, we will issue your VAT refund check. In order to claim your refund, you must present this tax free check (DIVA) along with the following to the customs agency of the EU country you are leaving (not the non EU country you are entering):
- The items acquired
- Your passport or other form of identification
- The complete VAT invoice of the purchase (a simplified invoice is not valid for a VAT refund, you must request a full invoice at the time of purchase), which must include your home address outside of the EU
- Your boarding card (if travelling by air)
In order to be eligible for a VAT refund, you must leave the EU within three months of the date of your purchase.
Once customs has checked that everything is in order, your VAT refund will either be processed in cash at customs or you will need to contact Global Blue.
